Most pastors know that people in their pews are struggling with sexual brokenness. However, many congregations do not know how to respond. FirstLight helps churches by offering classes on sexual issues. FirstLight staff is available to give one time presentations, sermons, and Sunday School series on topics related to sexuality. FirstLight believes that God uses His church to lead people into holy lives. We encourage everyone who comes to FirstLight to join a Christ-centered church. We work with individuals and their clergy so that the church can understand ways to minister to those healing from sexual sin.

FirstLight offers Christian support groups for those struggling with their own sexual issues and groups for family members of those who struggle. All support groups are led by trained leaders and include biblical teaching, prayer, and time for sharing and accountability. There is no fee to join a support group.

Often, Christians who are struggling with sexual sin do not know where to turn. Fear and shame keep them from admitting their struggles. Many never tell and others only come clean after they are exposed- always with painful consequences to their families, friends, and churches. FirstLight comes along side churches to minister to those struggling with sexual issues. Christ’s love extends to our sexuality offering hope and forgiveness. Through Jesus, the sexually broken can step out of darkness into “the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day (Proverbs 4:18).
